Vaesen Mythic Britain & Ireland

The mists have crossed the North Sea. Mythic Britain & Ireland takes the award-winning gothic horror of Vaesen to the islands of Britain and Ireland in the late 1800s. Gaslit London is full of secrets, the moors are wild and lonely, and old powers still linger at the edges of every village, holy well and standing stone.

Veteran RPG writer Graeme Davis wrote it, and Johan Egerkrans and Anton Vitus illustrated it. The book brings the folklore of these islands into the world of Vaesen. Banshees wail, black dogs haunt lonely roads and a glaistig waits by the water. Every creature comes with full game stats, background lore, story seeds and variants, so you can make each encounter your own.

Your investigators also get a new home base. The British Society has its own history, founders and headquarters, giving you a ready-made group of characters and plenty of story hooks for a campaign set on this side of the sea. A detailed gazetteer of London, packed with secret societies and adventure locations, gives you an atmospheric city to run mysteries in. A guide to around twenty mythological sites across the islands sends players out into the countryside.

It won three Gold ENnie Awards in 2023: Product of the Year, Best Setting and Best Interior Art. It’s a must-have for any Vaesen group, and a beautiful book for anyone who loves British and Irish folklore.
